The Empowered and the Suppressed

Last week or so, I went on another one of my frequent, meandering rants about how things should be in the world, that is, under the Lordship of Christ. The subject for today's rant was the psychology of the sexes, that no two people should come together unless the Lord brings them together in His way and in His time.

"Yeah, but you don't think like most women," my boss, who is unsaved, said.

I think he meant it as a compliment, but the Holy Spirit actually reproved me because I speak these words but they've yet to manifest in my life. I was reminded of my complete inability to do anything I was saying, and that if left to my own, I would be dead in the world and all it's pleasures and grossly misguided ideals.

I can do nothing good apart from God. Oh, how often I forget that...
